As we continue to expand, we’re looking for a dedicated and energetic Store Manager to lead our Bristol store. This is a hands-on role for someone who thrives in a fast-paced retail environment and is ready to take our store to the next level!
Job Overview:
As Store Manager, you will be responsible for the daily operations of the store, ensuring everything runs smoothly from opening to closing. You’ll oversee a small but dedicated team, manage inventory, handle customer queries, maintain a pristine store environment, and drive both in-store and online sales. This role will require you to be organized, proactive, and customer-focused, with an eye for visual merchandising and a knack for problem-solving.
Key Responsibilities:
Store Operations & Management:
- Opening & Closing: Open the store in the morning and ensure the security of the store by locking up at night.
- Store Presentation: Maintain the store's cleanliness and visual appeal throughout the day. This includes setting up rails, tidying shelves, and ensuring displays are up-to-date.
- Stock Replenishment: Replenish stock as needed, especially after sales, and handle the stock from the previous day’s collections.
- Stockroom Management: Ensure the stockroom is well-organized, easy to navigate, and fully stocked with necessary retail equipment (bags, tags, stationery, etc.).
Customer Service:
- Provide excellent customer service, including assisting with product queries and sales.
- Operate the till, process transactions, and manage customer returns or exchanges.
- Engage with customers and provide a personalized shopping experience.
Sales & Inventory Management:
- Stock Takes: Conduct regular stock checks to ensure accurate inventory levels and prevent stock loss.
- Log Stock: Log new stock deliveries and replenish shelves as necessary. Upload stock to platforms such as Vend, Shopify, Depop, and Vinted.
- Stock Buying: Handle the purchasing of stock, managing relations with suppliers and ensuring the store remains well-stocked with on-trend items.
Online & Social Media:
- Instagram & Content Creation: Manage daily Instagram content creation, post regularly according to the schedule, and respond to messages and queries.
- Platform Sales: Manage online sales on platforms like Shopify, Depop, and Vinted, including handling customer messages and processing orders.
- Flat Lays & Photography: Create flat lays for new product drops and ensure that product images are uploaded to the relevant platforms.
Administration & Reporting:
- Log daily sales in the sales book and update the team via the WhatsApp group chat.
- Ensure accurate financial transactions, including banking cash and managing petty cash.
- Keep track of all retail equipment and supplies, ensuring the store is fully stocked with necessary materials.
Visual Merchandising & Store Development:
- Proactively think ahead to refresh and update store displays, keeping the store visually exciting for returning customers.
- Stay on top of trends to curate a modern and attractive store presentation.
Problem Solving & Initiative:
- Handle customer complaints, operational issues, and other challenges with a solutions-focused attitude.
- Take initiative to improve store operations and processes, ensuring everything runs smoothly.
Relationship Building & Seller Management:
Maintain strong working relationships with suppliers and sellers to ensure stock is ordered and delivered efficiently.
Set up new sellers, close down previous sellers, and manage day-to-day communication.
- Loss Prevention:
- Oversee stock loss prevention strategies and implement measures to reduce shrinkage.
Key Requirements:
- Previous retail experience in fashion or apparel.
- Strong knowledge in designer, streetwear clothing.
- Strong leadership skills, with the ability to manage and motivate a team.
- Excellent customer service skills and a proactive attitude.
- Experience with inventory management, stock takes, and online platforms (Vend, Shopify, Depop, Vinted).
- Creative flair for visual merchandising and a keen eye for detail.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure and multitask.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to manage various administrative duties.
- A good understanding of social media, particularly Instagram, and how to create engaging content.
- Problem-solving abilities and a solutions-driven approach.
- Experience in managing stock loss and theft prevention strategies.
